Product Description
1050 aluminum coil is a type of aluminum coil that belongs to the 1000 series aluminum coil. It is a commercially pure aluminum coil with more than 99.5% aluminum content. The 1050 aluminum coil has high plasticity, corrosion resistance, and electrical and thermal conductivity. It is highly malleable and has excellent workability, making it ideal for various applications such as chemical equipment, food industry containers, and general sheet metal work.
Series | Application Fields
1050 | Chemical processing equipment | Tanks, pipes, valves, fittings, etc. |
Food processing and packaging | Cookware, foil, trays, food molds.
Appliances | Refrigerator panels, housings, air conditioner parts.
Electrical | Transformer windings, cables, bus bars.
Decorative | Sign backings, lamp shades, art projects.
Reflective insulation | Sandwich panels, wraps, and roofing membranes.
Marine applications | Hulls, masts, railings. Withstands saltwater exposure.
Foil | Aluminum foil for packaging and food prep. (0.15-0.2mm) |
Temper | Meaning | Application Fields |
O | Annealed temper. Coils annealed after rolling to obtain the softest and most pliable condition. There is no heat treatment or strain hardening. It has the lowest strength but the highest corrosion resistance and formability. | · Chemical tanks and pipes - Maximum corrosion resistance needed · Appliance parts like reflectors - Easy formability into shapes |
H12 | Strain hardened to a quarter hard. Moderate increase in strength while still maintaining good formability and corrosion resistance. | · Roofing and siding - Moderate strength but still good formability · Sign backings - Balance of strength and workability |
H14 | Strain hardened to half hard. Significantly increases strength over O temper while allowing for moderate formability, they can used for high-power fields. | · Mail boxes and enclosures - Increased strength with moderate formability · Electrical wire conduits - Bit more strength but still conductive |
H18 | Strain hardened to full hard. Maximum strength from work hardening alone but significantly reduced formability. Prone to cracking if bent. | · Structural supports and braces - Very high strength required · Shipping containers - Extra strength to withstand handling |
H19 | Extra hard or overstrained temper. Adds a small amount of additional strength over H18 temper. They can used for limited specialty applications. | · Specialty enclosures like electronic housings - Maximum hardness · Set shapes like molded reflectors - Formed into shape then work hardened |
Width | Application Fields |
500-750mm | Produced for special applications like small enclosures and housings. |
1000mm | Used for general sheet metal fabrication and processing. |
1250mm | Popularly used for chemical tanks, roofing, and appliances. |
2000mm | Used where large-width sheets are needed. |
Customized | We also have customized services for you. |
Thickness | Application Fields |
0.15mm - 0.20mm | The Thinnest gauge, used for foil, insulation, and ultra-light metal applications. |
0.30mm - 0.50mm | Popular thicknesses for chemical tanks and containers, reflective insulation, and metal roofing. |
0.60mm - 1.00mm | Intermediate thicknesses used for appliances, ducting, signage backings, and decorative parts. |
1.20mm - 2.00mm | Thicker coils for chemical process equipment, mailboxes, furniture, and heat exchangers. |
2.50mm - 3.00mm | Used for corrosion resistance and higher strength fields, such as marine components and tanker truck bodies. |
4.00mm - 6.00mm | The thickest coils tend to be for specialized chemical processing or industrial equipment applications. |
